Eyelash Extention

Mink

Mink Lashes are the new craze. If you’re going for that 100% natural look, this is the best you can get. Usually used on older clients or those going for an extremely natural look. Real Mink lashes come from the Mink tail, either the Siberian Mink or the Chinese Mink. The Siberian Mink is the better of the two. With Mink extensions, you'll get a light, fluffy, soft natural look. Real mink lashes usually last longer because they are so light as well as being able to apply several mink extensions per natural lash. The downside to this type of extension is that not only are they expensive, but they also do not come curled. Real mink lashes need to be permed and you'll have to keep curling them at home to maintain that curled look.If you want a more natural looking lash which you can apply mascara to enhance, then Mink should be your first choice.

Note: You should only use mascara designed for extensions.

Faux Mink

Faux mink eyelash extensions are more affordable and are the most popular extensions used by lash artists today. These man made, poly-fiber lashes come in a variety of lengths, diameters and curls, have good flexibility and remain somewhat natural looking depending on the length. They're designed to imitate real mink fur, but lash artists and clients both love this of extension type because the curl is permanent and they're low maintenance. No need to curl or put mascara on these types of extension. Because of their variety of size and length, they're great for customizing different looks for each client.

Sable & Faux Sable Eyelashes

Sable eyelashes are made from natural hair like Mink and are the thinnest of the eyelash extensions. The thinnest of the lashes rated at 0.10mm. They have all the same quality as the Mink lashes except they’re even lighter and softer. Since Sable lashes are the finest, they should really only be used if your natural eyelashes are very fine.

Silk

These are the mid-weight type of lash extensions. Silk lashes tend to be thicker than any other type of extensions When someone says Synthetic Lashes they are referring to either Silk or Acrylic. Synthetic Silk being the more popular of the two for the lighter feel. Not as light as Mink, Sable or Xtreme, but they are more comfortable than Acrylic and can be used for everyday use. Synthetic Silk is great for short term wear or special occasions, a wedding, a photo-shoot or a part in a film, since they are thicker, full and have a uniformed perfect curve to them. Because silk comes in a variety of curls and length, you can also use them as everyday lashes as well, especially for clients who love the fuller look, but they won’t be as light as the Mink and Xtreme lashes.

Since they already hold such a dark pigment, there is no reason for mascara.

They are usually much thicker than Mink or Sable lashes rated at 0.20mm.
